Remarque : La séance d'écoute empathique vise à encourager le destinataire à s'exprimer et à exprimer ses problèmes là où il mène la conversation et peut exprimer librement ses émotions et ses pensées. Le rôle de l’animateur est d’écouter attentivement et de maintenir un espace sécuritaire. Ceci est différent du travail des thérapeutes traditionnels ou du conseil et ne vise pas à les remplacer.

La facilitation de l'écoute consciente est une méthode holistique qui interagit avec et complète d'autres traitements. Il ne remplace pas un traitement médical ou psychologique ni un remplacement des médicaments prescrits.
